People’s Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Horyanskyi and renowned Ukrainian actress Viktoria Bilan are setting off on a European tour with the play “Promises, Promises” (“Обіцянки цяцянки”). And this September they’ll perform this expressive, funny, and provocative show in Nice! It’s the story of a married couple that not only makes you laugh and lifts your spirits, but also allows you to easily recognize yourself and your own doubts. Enjoy this bold comedy about adult relationships, performed by brilliant Ukrainian actors!

A play about adult relationships in Nice!

At the heart of the plot is a married couple who decide to agree to an “open relationship.” They sign a contract, but when the wife actually takes a lover, the situation quickly spirals out of control. What follows is a loud scandal, jealousy, and painful, yet at times comical, confessions. This play is an explosive comedy about passion, temptation, and the complexities of marriage, which, through the lens of farce and the grotesque, shows just how strongly the characters strive to preserve their love.
